Redesdale house renovation

Redesdale House

Pergola for future deciduous vine

This is a California Bungalow style country home with an extension designed to create a view over the garden to the North and West and generous views of the Campaspe River Valley to the North

South West

Deck and Dutch Gable roof

Spotted gum timber decking and subfloor cladding provide a natural base for this rural home extension. The covered deck area for an outdoor eating directly off the Kitchen provides a direct transition from indoor to outdoor living

Outdoor Dining

Covered and screened area

This area provides ideal outside dining and entertaining in an insect proof area. The ceiling fan provides thermal comfort in hot summer evenings. Cedar window and door frames in a "weatherboard" lined cement sheet provide suitable fire rating.

North West

elevation and connection to garden

Being in and above the garden were two key principles of the client brief. This view from the North West indicates that the outdoor eating and deck areas provide a platform for both distant and near views of the immediate garden area.

Kitchen & Living
